The Oils of Life Intensely Revitalizing Facial Oil is part of Body Shop's Oils of Life range. Other products in this range include The Oils of Life Intensely Revitalizing Cream, The Oils of Life Intensely Revitalizing Gel Cream, The Oils of Life Intensely Revitalizing Essence Lotion.

The Oils of Life range contains three precious seed oils that provide your skin with radiance and help reduce wrinkles with constant use. The product aims to intensely revitalize skin, revive radiance and leave your skin feeling nourished. The three precious seed oils used are: 

Black Cumin Seed Oil: sourced from the Egyptian Nile Valley, and known for its concentration and antioxidants.

Rosehip Seed Oil: sourced from Andes foothills of Chile, and rich in Omega 3. 

Camellia Seed Oil: sourced from the evergreen trees of China, and naturally rich in nutritive oleic acid.

Packaging

The product comes in an extremely attractive and luxurious 30 ml glass bottle, which has kind of an ombre effect of yellow transitioning into a deep orangish-red color. 

The glass bottle comes with this really cute dropper which dispenses drops of oil on to your palm. That way you don't tend to waste any product, and get just the right amount of oil for use. Its easy to carry and is travel friendly. The shelf life of this oil is 18 months.

Directions For Use

Take 1-2 drops of The Body Shop Oils of Life Intensely Revitalizing Facial Oil into your palm and gently massage it onto your face and neck, leaving out the area around the eyes. 

You can also use The Body Shop Twin-Ball Facial Massager to carry out a special massage: the Facial Dance Workout which stimulates blood flow and lymphatic drainage, leaving your skin feeling energized and looking radiant.

My Take

I've always been fascinated by The Body Shop products and this one is no exception. Having an oily skin type, I was skeptic at first when I was purchasing this product. But when I found out what I was missing out on, by not including a facial oil in my daily skincare routine, I was tempted to buy it and give it a try, and thank God for it because I absolutely fell in love with it.

It's a myth that people with an oily/combination skin type should not indulge in facial oils. Rather, a good facial oil not only rejuvenates the skin, but also provides the right hydration and glow to your skin without clogging the pores. It mimics the natural sebum of your skin and helps maintain the right oil balance. Facial oils are known to help reduce blemishes and wrinkles (to an extent), and they also help fight acne. And since The Body Shop Oils of Life Intensely Revitalizing Facial Oil is rich in antioxidants and Omega 3, it really helps in improving the quality of your skin.

I've been using The Oils of Life Intensely Revitalizing Facial Oil for a few weeks now, and all I can say is I'm completely mesmerized by it. I have, in fact, included it in my nigh time routine and my skin thanks me everyday for it!

My first impression after massaging it into my skin was that it had a peculiar citrussy earthy smell to it that I liked, and it also completely absorbed into my skin immediately and made my face feel more supple, soothing and radiant. I do not use it in the morning if I'm going for a slightly heavy makeup that day, because it can tend to make your skin look oily. But I use it regularly in my night time skincare routine. Before going to bed, I take out my makeup, wash my face and take 2 drops of it in my palm and gently massage it on my face and neck, leaving out the under eye area, and my face never felt this supple and baby soft. Also with regular usage, I have found a considerable reduction in breakouts on my face, so that's another plus point to the product.

The bottle is priced at Rs. 3095 which is a luxury purchase. But trust me, the product it totally worth the price and it also tends to last for a very long time since you're only using like 1-2 drops. Its more of an investment product that helps build up the elasticity of your skin ,and I believe that if you're above 25, it's something you must be investing in order to maintain the youthfulness of your skin.
